They went down around the same time at ScT, yes. Their main HDD crashed, and the latest backup they had (that wasn't lost among the rest of the data) was from over a year ago.

i have no idea when they put that up. i just spotted it today but it could be there for weeks already

It has been there for weeks.
If they ever reopen, don't count on getting in without any friends/connections.
The way they went down was horrible. HDD-crash and a lack of back-ups...when you claim to be available only for quality members, you would expect that the staff have a little more vision.
It was a nice and cosy tracker, filled with a bunch of people you find at every 'rare' tracker and a lot of dedicated members. It's biggest strenght was the fact everyone could upload. Apart from that it wasn't really breathtaking.
