Exclamation Is google toolbar spying - even when it says it does not?

Google has updated its browser toolbar after the application was caught tracking urls even when specifically "disabled" by the user.

In a Monday blog post, Harvard professor and noted Google critic Ben Edelmen provided video evidence of the Google toolbar transmitting data back to the Mountain View Chocolate Factory after he chose to disable the application in the browser window he was currently using.

    i never trust toolbars,
however by using Google to search, they will also spy on you..

    they won't check <insertHugeNumberOfUsersHere> records so i won't bother...

To be honest,I don't like the way the way the results are displayed.
Plus the results are not the same as google's.
On scroogle I'm the third result while on google the fourth...

Scroogle grabs a random Google IP for every search, thus leading to different result positions.
