Meaning they're acting that way with all UDP traffic... online games, VoIP, etc. should also be affected.

no. they are limiting p2p traffic and only p2p traffic (auto identify things maybe),
voip(at my friend's house is fine), when i played cod4 it was quite good too.

so no way of getting around this ?

    vuze rc4, changed ports

i'll try your mod on private tracker since i used -official- uT v2 on ubuntu's torrent.
    (what about announce faults ?)

I see... I read on the uTorrent forums that ISPs can't tell P2P and other kinds of traffic apart when uTP transfers are used.

There aren't any... the annouce looks 100% like that of the emulated version (it worked on ScT), and other uTorrent users don't see you as [FAKE] on their clients' peerlists.

Yes but other people have to use uTP also, its kinda like encryption. So the only connections your ISP wont know is the ones being connected to other uTP people.
    Thanks

You can make uTorrent use uTP only via bt.transp_disposition.

Take a look at your contract when you signed up with your ISP, if it does not say anything about throttling p2p then lodge a formal complaint with one of the the

    1.
ISP's duty supervisors, if he/she doesnt give a f then.

    2.
go to the ISP complaints officer, if that doesnt work then. tell them you will make sure you will go to some well known ISP review forum to complain.

    3.
finaly lodge a complaint with the Telecommunciation Industry Ombudsman in your state.

The more people know that they are stiffing customers they less customers they will have.
    Thanks
