Ashampoo makes some pretty decent stuff.
I remember Ashampoo media Player was the first Media player that I had, outside of the one MS gives you.

I can't speak for their AV and firewall suites but Ashampoo has been around long enough to garner a name for itself.

I wouldn't be surprised that even the burning software is equally as good as some of the other burning software manufacturers out there.

I used to use their Burning Studio 6 until recently, and all my burned CDs failed the verification stage, something which didn't happen with ImgBurn after I switched to it Didn't try the latest version, though.

If you're talking to me and about ImgBurn, that's what I use now

    Oh, reallly..??.
well, I personnally havent tried Imgburn. I've got Nero that I'm using right about now( actually, burning FreeBSD & Win7BlackXP atm......gonna try them soon, too. )

/did you ever find out why they failed the verification stage??

    That's kind of odd.

I'm wondering if Ashampoo maybe was looking for some additional info that it initally burned, but then didn't know where, if even, it was actually burned to disk.

The latest sector of the disc was always different than in the image. I followed all tips to ensure correct burning (disable antivirus, close all programs, etc.) but the same happened.

I find that really odd. Most especially in having to disable AV.
What kind of proggy is this then??

Most new installs of softwares you don't even need to do that.

You guys may have thort of this already but once (and still do soemtimes) had the same problem. I tried updating the firmware and also the disc compatibility to the burner should also affect the burn result.

Ive got 2 burners on my machine, just to give them a rest between burns, they handle discs differently.

You don't have to disable your antivirus to install Burning Studio I only did that as a precaution when burning CD's...
