Of course, but then you're no longer using Chrome, or at least not its rendering engine. Using IE tabs also increases resource usage.

Bookmark sync and more speed in the latest beta release

Fresh from a Halloween weekend, we're excited to introduce a brand new beta for Google Chrome, which includes a few new treats and cool tricks for our users.

For those of you who use several computers -- for example, a laptop at work and a desktop at home -- you've asked for a way to keep your Google Chrome bookmarks in sync across multiple computers. Today's new beta release allows you to do just that! You can keep your Google Chrome bookmarks synchronized and up-to-date across the multiple computers you use, without needing to manually recreate your bookmarks every time you use a different computer.

    ...

As with every release, this new beta comes with many speed improvements. In particular, as web applications we use every day become increasingly dynamic, browsers like Google Chrome need to be able to construct and change elements on web pages as fast as possible. We've improved performance scores on Google Chrome by 30% since our current stable release, as measured by Mozilla's Dromeao DOM Core Tests, and by 400% since our first stable release.

Or ChromePlus, although it isn't open-source, and thus we can't know what they put on it apart from the new features.

Glad to see Iron has received an update to 4.x recently, it's a shame to see its development is so slow.

Features Chrome For Mac Beta Will Be Missing

As we've noted, Chrome for Mac is getting very, very close to its official beta launch. The team is down to a mere 8 bugs to fix before it's ready (and it looks like the list has been trimmed to 7 as of a few hours ago). This is great news for Mac users who want to try out the Chrome experience that PC users have had for well over a year now. But still, the product will be in beta, and it will be incomplete.

It's been known for a while that Google would have to trim some features from the initial Chrome for Mac beta launch to get it out before self-imposed "end of the year" deadline. But what's on the chopping block? A scan through the Chromium logs on Google Code seems to reveal what will and won't be a go for Chrome for Mac beta.

Yes, I've been using that for about 2 weeks now. It's faster than the Google version and doesn't send any information about what you're doing. It's quite a good browser.
