    system restore alternatives

Just now i recovered my system thanks to a nice little progie called
    erunt
and a tip from myself i found in an old tweaks file with stupid tweaks and a few useful ones regarding installing Recovery console before having any problems with XP so as to not start looking for that XP CD u had last seen god knows where .

anywhay. It wouldnt have been a great loss because i tripple boot (XP, ubuntu, win7RC1) but a few things i would have missed.

I just wanna know if other people have used erunt and if they know of an alternative in case something worse happens (this time i couldnt even boot from safe mode, let alone normal boot)

just a side note i know about full backup apps like acronis true image but i am talking about daily restore points.

Enable automatic backups when you install ERUNT. Should your Windows go unbootable, you can copy the files to the config folder via the recovery console.

ERUNT is a great app, I've been using it for years and it saved me a lot of times.

eerm thats what the erdnt.con does automatically.
after u are in recovery console go:
    cd erdnt
cd folder_with_latest_backup(usually the name is a date)
    and then
    batch erdnt.con
    it does it for you.
