Documents expose the influence of US lobbies on the EU WorkGroup on Open Source, 2009

It's that time of year again people.

    It's Wikileaks time.

    check it out:

Large copyright holders such as the US-based MicroSoft Corporation exert pressure to prevent government adoption of free software........The files present draft versions of the group's report, so it can be seen how the lobbies pressure change inside the very reports which are supposed to be a base for the European Commission legislation propositions

I think that logically enough, Microsoft doesn't want the government to adopt Free software to generate extra revenue - even if OpenBSD, for example, is well-known for its extremely low amount of security holes.

in the end no software company wants users to use free software as it hurts their possible revenue (p2p anyone ), but they are here and companies have to adapt to a new situation - OS's are big pieces of software but i have a feeling M$ feels the heat

    That's good.
    Let them feel the heat.
I hope it gets so hot, it evaporates the juice right out of their brains.
