    Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
    Windows XP Professional Performance Edition: modded version of XP, all unnecessary features removed and none that you need. Less than 200 MB and runs like a beast (start up in 15-30 sec )

    MicroXP uses less than 100MB I tried Performance Edition but for some reason didn't like it.

    Yeah, but there's a problem when you go TOO small...a lot of stuff starts giving errors about broken DLL's and all that

    The only thing I miss on MicroXP at the moment is WMA and MIDI playback. All the apps I use worked correctly. Although there are indeed some that don't work (listed on its readme).
