First look at Opera Browser v10

I came across this article on LifeHacker. It gives a first glimpse into what to expect on the new Opera 10. This'll be a nice one to come.

    check it out:

Screenshot Tour: First Look at Opera 10

I know that Opera isn't the most popular browser, apparantly it isn't much of a competition between it and FF, but its not so much as competition as personal tastes are that have others using the browser over others.

    Anyways. Thats my say.

@SealLion: I tried the Opera 10 alpha when Snitlev posted about it at the Opera thread. In my short tests it rendered pages slightly faster than a tweaked Opera 9.62, even with the default settings. It also passes the Acid3 test (100/100), and has a lot of under-the-hood CSS and JavaScript parsing improvements. There aren't any significant UI changes. You can find the changelog here

@Pickle: I thought the same too at first - never liked HTML mail too much, really. But at least you can toggle between rich text and plain text messaging.

@anon: Apparantly, the new version won't be out till sometime next year, though.

Sorry, I've got to double post here for a moment or 2, but am I the only person here who has trouble having the pages rendered when using OPera on this forum??

Sometimes, after I post, normal behaviour is for the post to be automatically shown to you after you've posted. At times, this doesn't seem to be happenng. I still see the previous post.

My new post doesn't seem to display until after I recycle the page.

Now I can't remember if this same thing is happening with me while I use FF on this forum??

EDIT: aND it just happened again..

If I understand right, you're saying that after you posted something and being directed to the thread you can't see your post until you refresh the page, right?
This happened to me too when I use the latest version of the Opera browser.
Surprisingly this happened only when I used Opera, so far.
When posting via IE7 i don't experience this bug...

vBulletin features like Quick Reply and the Thanks button heavily rely on JavaScript, which BlockIt may be blocking for this board. Go to any SB-Innovation page, press F12, and choose "Edit Site Preferences...". In the dialog that appears, go to Scripting, and clear the User JS Files textbox, like this:

Press OK, and check if the problem persists. I personally have disabled BlockIt like this for Opera 9.62, and the only problem I have is sessions expiring after 2-5 minutes, which is an Opera-specific issue, and doesn't happen with 9.2x or FF. When using Firefox + NoScript, just always allow (whitelist) sb-innovation.de.

Or it could be that the post does appear, but Opera doesn't scroll down automatically - this has happened to me too.

Please post new versions at the Opera thread, or here, if they're alphas. I have moved your post
