Firstly, it's football. I respect th fact that OP may be American, but I must uphold the fact that the most commen place on the body to touch the ball, in football, is believe it or not, the foot, hence the name. That's my bitch over, now my opinion.

Football used to be good. Used being the keyword. 60s, 70s, and 80s football was the best, and I enjoyed every game that my Dad had on VHS. Then the 90s came along, and money somehow ruined the game. Drama became even more present, and suddenly it was EastEnders rather than football. Then all my school used to play was football, as in all the students, and then I realised how overrated it is.

Hence, I switched to rugby; much more exhilarating, less drama, and a true team sport.
