Without giving spoilers, Nathan and Emma are a couple struggling with various personal issues during the creation of their tv show where they're trying to sell ultra eco-friendly houses to people. The shows takes its premise and turns it into a kind of character study written by a sadist. The sort of thing that would have made Kafka laugh at night.

It's a sincere reflection of someone misunderstanding a black comedy. I know the imdb score is shit, but the show isn't really bad. A lot of people just get turned off by this style.
