Literally nobody I've ever interacted with in real life or talked with online cares about the music charts other than top of the year lists / charts and rateyourmusic and that includes people like https://www.thesinglesjukebox.com/. Actually this is the first time I'm looking them up. Is it these ? https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/
The charts are usually the most played songs for example in Spotify and Deezer and the point here its that these charts are completely dominated by solo artist in comparision to the past like 80´s and 90´s or before were bands were the most played music.
Interesting information, thanks for sharing. With that said, there's a lot of talent beyond what top charts and even the entirety of streaming catalogs can offer, and seeking it has never been easier.
