Thread: Internet cost in your country

  1. #31
What a high speed you have!

In Iran, we pay $2-3 per month for 50 gigabytes of data at a speed of 8 megabits (yes, you read that right, megabits).

Yes, both the speed and volume of our download and upload are limited in Iran.

The salary of a worker in Iran is 100 dollars per month!!!

I wish the whole world knew what kind of hell we are living in.
We are only slightly better than North Korea

I have done some reading recently, and the situation is indeed very alarming, particularly the huge depreciation of the rial to the point large wads of cash are needed just for everyday expenses. Like Venezuela, Iran has been hit hard by its reliance on oil exports and general domestic instability.

At least the plan to replace regular Internet access with a national network free of "subversive" content didn't come through.

    100 Mbps, €6.8 (=$7.2) per month
    300 Mbps, €12.2 (=$13) per month
    500 Mbps, €14.5 (=$15.5) per month
    1000 Mbps, €18 (=$19) per month

A socialist but actually crony capitalist country.
Looks cheap, but not after purchasing power parity and general prices are considered.

Q: What do Arabs, Chinese and Russians have in common?
A: They hate America, but love their dollars!
