    PC strange lag

ok,long story short i have changed my pc thinking that this one will not do the same as the old one ( plus to play games )
    anyway,the error,no mather win 10 or 11

sometimes pc randomlly get stuck on tabs (Web explorer) or more like is lagging ,because after a few sec or so it comes back .( in the status bar i have some crap with cache loading) on folders, when i have qbittorrent on the same ,don't mention if i compress something a game is loading in 5 minutes until is finished

so basically my pc sometimes is running like i have 2GB of RAM not 42GB
i'm thinking is either because i keep all my user and pass saved in cache and is to many on browsing
either the HDD has few RPM to run smooth
the other settings i did it all,the same

    what do you think ?

This is a difficult problem to solve, because it can have many causes. I'd start with this. Run these commands as administrator...

    Code:
    powercfg -attributes SUB_PROCESSOR 3b04d4fd-1cc7-4f23-ab1c-d1337819c4bb -ATTRIB_HIDE
    powercfg -attributes SUB_PROCESSOR 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 -ATTRIB_HIDE
    powercfg -attributes SUB_PROCESSOR 5d76a2ca-e8c0-402f-a133-2158492d58ad -ATTRIB_HIDE
    powercfg -attributes SUB_PROCESSOR ea062031-0e34-4ff1-9b6d-eb1059334028 -ATTRIB_HIDE
Open the power settings and make the following changes for the High Performance plan...

    • Allow throttle states: off
    • Processor performance core parking min cores: 100%
    • Processor performance core parking max cores: 100%
    • Minimum processor state: 100%
    • Processor idle disable: Disable idle

Then temporarily switch to High Performance. Also read https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?t=30949; Idle3 is exclusive to Western Digital, but the part about Advanced Power Management applies to most disks irrespective of brand or model... actually, I think you should try that first. In any case, let us know if the lags still occur and we can begin discarding possibilities from there.

On a sidenote, a solid-state drive will have a positive and noticeable impact on performance, even if it's a small and cheap one only for the system partition, and is very much worth considering for that alone.

i would recommend against using debloater scripts, they do more harm than good.

Dropping by to leave a few Windows 11-specific pointers in case someone else has a similar problem.
    • WinAeroTweaker and O&O ShutUp10++ are good for killing annoying features with little risk of breaking anything; all changes are easily reversible. Both are also free with no spyware. (W10Privacy and WPD also seem good.)
    • Just looking at the code for the popular debloaters was nightmarish for me. It seems all of them follow the principle of steamrolling over anything that may be "bloat" with little regard for consequences. It's better to soft-disable what you don't need through the programs above or group policy, which can be undone easily. Unlike in the Nlite days, I don't think a few GBs saved is worth the potential trouble.
    • For Intel processors at least, using ThrottleStop is much better than the advice in post #5 as it can dynamically change clocks, power limits, model-specific features and voltages. It takes some time to learn how to use it, but it will let you get the best possible speeds.
    • If you use an SSD, follow the advice at https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?t=35507 to maximize its speed and lifespan.
