My first console was a home pong clone
It came with a pair of grey paddle controllers and a light gun for the skeet shooting game.

Nintendo NES
The NES wasn't officially sold in this country, which left the door open for a multitude of hardware clones, some of which would even dare to imitate the name and appearance of more advanced consoles. This was the one we had (those notches above the A and B buttons are autofire switches).
Also, here's an interesting video.

Nintendo Entertainment System, way back in 1988. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back. Christ, I'm old.
i had a pentium 4 in back days with windows xp.
still happy to remember those days.
If the Game & Watch counts as a video game system then that would be my first, I remember playing with one when I hadn't even started kindergarten yet.
