That is my only way to read reddit these days.

Mine is using their onion site. From a privacy viewpoint this is perhaps better, since you have the anonymity advantages of onion routing (with TLS encryption on top) but otherwise connect directly to Reddit, eliminating the dangers of a potentially malicious instance.

The downsides are that they can still track sessions via cookies, and following the tips in post #14 is mandatory for a non-frustrating experience.

I was never considering logging in to reddit.
I only read it, I never post there. The main objective is not having reddit logging my visits, and randomizing libredit/redlib instances can do a good job for those who only have interest in occasionally read some content there (searx results, links, etc)

Same, but I ended up gravitating towards that particular option because 1. I've had bad luck with instances getting rate-limited, 2. I was already using Tor for other purposes, 3. unlike most mainstream services Reddit has an onion site and it's actually usable.
