Best USB for my keychain?

Hello! I'm looking for a usb stick that I can place on my keychain.
I was thinking of something like this:

But I'm not sure if it will work. My keys are pretty heavy, and that usb key might break the port, or I might insert it wrongly and might damadge the port.
Have any of you ever used these before?
Are they any good?
Is it true that slim usb sticks are slower than bigger bulkier ones?

My experience with these is that they're an impractical novelty. Just get a USB stick that fits in your fob pocket and use that.

Personally I mistrust every non-protected USB-Port.
I only use Kingston Datatraveler Locker+ and Corsair Flash Padlock at the moment. Both are resilent enough to carry on a keychain. Both are encrypting your data, so nobody can access it if you lose the usb key.

Yes and no. In my opinion it's the cheaper the slower. Try to use USB3 if your computer supports it.

Corsair Flash Padlock

Flash drive encryption is usually a major hassle, since you must install the decryption program on any computer you come across. Implementing it in hardware like this one looks like a good solution.
