    Online YouTube downloader

    Hi Friends,

Which sites do you use for downloading YouTube videos? I used [OFFICIAL] KeepVid: Download YouTube Videos, Facebook, Vimeo, Twitch.Tv, Dailymotion, Youku, Tudou, Metacafe and more! but it is behaving strangely since some days.

Youtube Downloader HD - Free Youtube Video Downloader

Not a site, but works very well and is portable. No need to rely on a third party when you can get the videos directly from the source.

I use IDM. When you watch any youtube video a idm download window will pop up and you can select which version of the file you want to download.

This. IDM is the best to be honest. However, if I need to download full list or something, I use https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/ which is great selecting quality of audio/video and the container.

I never though jDownloader will work on playlists and quality selection. I'll test that the next time I download from there. Thanks for pointing to it btw.

Does any of these downloaders support the Dailymotion's multi subtitles feature?
I recently downloaded a documentary that was free for a week end, but I couldn't get any subs from the stream.
It seems that that subs are some sort of overlay.

jDownloader is great for this if you already had it open. Being Java-based and all, running it for the occasional video download is overkill

I always have jDownloader running. At one time, it was using 2GB of RAM, after doing ~50 ip resets. It does wonders for me

Sounds like a lot, but it all depends on how much RAM you have installed. If you have more, programs will use more - why not do it if there's plenty and it's faster than the fastest storage media available.

    Hello there,
I use a Grease-monkey script which adds a download button to all Youtube videos. Here is the link to the script: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/13...-videos-as-mp4
This has been updated last on 2017-02-13.
You can also download another script from the firefox addon repository: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/sea...dl-mostpopular
This would require you to use Sea-Monkey.
Lastly, you can download the video using the streaming link (i.e., http://redirector.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%) You can do this by capturing live headers using many addons or tools!
You should avoid third party sites as they are simply eating away your data and bandwidth by redirecting the content through their server!
    Hope this helps you.
Have a nice day or night!

SaveTube and YouTube Center are also good, if you're taking that path.
