    of course it does, it is a good way to promote the unity of european nations (and wider), so politically it helps one of the goals of the european union

    No offence mate, you seriously got to be kidding. you totally made me laugh.

    Eurovision has always been inherently political at its core, since the cold war.
    It's not even the occasional corruption or vote rigging that's annoying.
    It's the neighbourly loyalty and age-old animosities that decide who win or who must not. Group of countries team up to ruin the old enemy (Greece and Cyprus Vs Turkey), Scandinavia, Slavic...

    Last year, eurovision reached its pinacle of political interference: Ukraine VS Russia. with the right alliances at the right time, Ukraine managed to humiliate Russia.

    you lost me here, which goal?
    Anyway, Eurovision and EU have nothing in common. Eurovision has usurped its name a long time ago: with countries like Turkey, Azerbaïdjan or Australia (no kidding), you have to wonder what "Euro" means.

    @molosse:

    competition among countries or groups of countries does not negate the supranational unitary goal

    Ukraine managed to humiliate Russia.
    the only thing ukraine managed to do was to humiliate itself, using cheap shots pleasing to its western sponsors

    you lost me here, which goal?
    the unity, dude

    Eurovision and EU have nothing in common
    on the contrary, look at the name, its meaning, the top financial contributors, the broadcasting network, etc. - it is obviously a dear project of the EU

    with countries like Turkey, Azerbaïdjan or Australia (no kidding), you have to wonder what "Euro" means.
    look at the big picture, what does the EU want? what do the globalists want? expansion and more thereof, until the whole globe is conquered and controlled - proven by EU's history (of expansionism)

    Australia was founded by British convicts, that obviously counts for something
