...or ever. In the meantime, my mirror list is ready.

    Code:

Maybe the future of torrent sites lies in Tor onion services. Set everything up correctly and you won't have to worry about server raids or domain seizures.

    https://filelisting.com/

Their database seems huge, but I recommend disabling JavaScript or using a content blocker to browse, because there's a guaranteed pop-under on every page.

Update: with scripting disabled, take advantage of the following to filter your searches instead.

    - FileListing search operators: -word to exclude word; word1 | word2 | word3 to find any of those instead of all; size:AB-CD to set a size range where A and C are numbers, B and D are one of kb, mb, gb, tb (bytes are assumed otherwise) and AB can be omitted to represent zero or CD can be omitted to represent infinity; in:title to not search filenames

I wish these DHT indexers would work with JavaScript disabled, but other than that, they have my seal of approval.

Thanks, that one seems nice and works without JavaScript.

Does BTDB still exist? I just remembered about them and none of their old domains seem functional.

I recently rediscovered btdig.com, which I thought had shut down many years ago.

Anyone who uses Nyaa should bookmark acg02.cc, as they'll keep torrents that have vanished from the main site. For instance, a certain manga about a school where it's always summer vacation...

    Spoiler FreshMeat (defunct):
    https://freshmeat.io/

This one is... interesting. There is no visible search feature. You can use /tag?q=word1+word2+word3 to search titles, with the caveat that will find all torrents containing any of those words, often resulting in a lot of noise. Encoding spaces as %20 instead of + and/or enclosing terms in quotation marks made no difference; using a regular search engine with the site:freshmeat.io operator is still possible. Search was either broken when I wrote this, or added very recently. Unfortunately it works the same way as the workaround I described.

It also tracks active peers on torrents and vice versa, but only found very few of the public ones I'm seeding.

Seems to me the focus of the site is finding recommendations or cool stuff at random, rather than building a "real" index. It's still fairly usable as one, though
