Me too, and I'm working towards achieving it.

Something I missed on my previous post: yesterday's happenings already deescalated the situation from losing my job to getting transferred to another school. But that's not good enough for me, I want to be where I've always been, not start over somewhere else.

Just like in a Hollywood movie, today I turned on the television Internet and something related to my current events was on it.

At least this gives you the opportunity to keep the cash flow coming and look for something else meanwhile. No/less pressure. No awkward questions at your next job why you got fired. It's good.

Currently going through a decisive phase. If everything goes well, I'll be back on the same school by next week. Will post full details and backstory after the outcome is known.

sorry to hear that you have problems at you job ..but try to stay positive ...it's not the end of the world getting fired or losing a job..beside that i don't think that keeping the same job make us better in any way , changing jobs , sceneray means new opportunities to find the perfect job for each of us and to improve ourself profesionaly - it's like dating..after you breakup with the GF you feel like nothing else mather, you don't worth a thing and so on..but to find the perfect girl you have to get trough each of this experiences

i lost my father 4 months ago..and somehow..still survive and keep going forward ...like Stallone said “Life's not about how hard of a hit you can give... it's about how many you can take, and still keep moving forward.”

so keep your head up and don't let anybody get you down or try to make you think that you are not good enough -because in life you can lose far more precious things than a job - like health, parents ..but try not to lose the confidence in you ever
    Thanks

I did. The help and assurance I received very early on helped a great deal. Things would have turned out much different without that. It is at times like this that you find out who's a friend and who isn't.

About your dad... it's clear to me from your post that his legacy lives on. That's something to be proud of.

maybe people will think that i have trust issues -but- reality is that nobody is a real friend with anybody it this modern age or in this earth ..they all want something ..no mather if it's transformed in time , support, to make something for them or so on ..more better explained here :

@anon Stay cool dude and dont let them get you down. Recognise that sometime honey is sweeter than water. Even great scientists are shunned by their peers not because of their work but because of their attitude. Humans are emotional animals and not entirely like Spock.

I sincerely hope that everything goes well for you.

Thanks, I am pleased to have this forum to share and receive feedback on my ramblings

There was a huge (in terms of seriousness) meeting at the school two days ago, with the authority that supports me, the friend who didn't, rector and vicerector. The first merely showed them a five-page statement, reiterated his state of being displeased with the situation (which much stronger words than that), and asked that they don't let it escalate any further. I received a digital copy and it is too big for me to translate, but here's a summary.

    • Eight paragraphs explaining how the letter sent to the Government about my alleged misconduct lacks all the tags and stamps bureaucracy requires it to have (because they wanted to send it as quickly as possible).
    • Three paragraphs with counterarguments for each reason given to fire me, as visible on the first post; point no. 3 in particular is compared to the military dictatorship of the 70s.
    • Five paragraphs detailing the general unfairness of the whole ordeal, with one full page of employment and workplace violence laws that were broken by it.
    • Five closing paragraphs which basically conclude this was a mess, and ask for it to be undone immediately by restoring me to my former position.

If everything goes well, they'll all sign and submit it today, and I'll be back really soon.

I received a phone call some two hours after the above post. No one wanted to sign anything until the rector did (and he hadn't arrived yet).

Tomorrow, I have a one-on-one meeting with the coordinator general, who wants to hear my side of the story. I will restate everything I have said in this thread so far, and ask for a few days' time, as a solution may be imminent.

I was looking forward to fixing things between us after dealing with all this drama, but then learned she falsely accused me of hacking her Dropbox account and deleting files today, so I guess that's game over

I have had friendships fade away when we drifted apart and stopped getting in touch, but never before actively ended one, nor had it done to me...
