Transmission 2.84 peer_id on qnap NAS

    Hello there,

Let me say thanks for all of your work and passion, THANKS

Sorry for duplicate if already exist :(

I would know how to know the peer-id of my transmission client 2.84 on my qnap NAS.

I would to use it for cheat on a privat tracker with mratio 4.5.1 and i dont want to be banned . so need to know the PEER-ID of QNAP to copy it in MRatio5.4.1.

    Thanks for any helping
My Best wish for the new year 2016.
    Bye

tr-cht-fx-242p or Lucius probably know a better method, but this is the one I'd use.

    • Create a torrent of any small file you have. Make sure it's marked as private. The announce URL must be http://yourlanip:65432/ where "yourlanip" is, of course, the LAN IP address of the computer where you'll be doing this.
    • Get a copy of netcat for Windows (I'll assume that's your OS), and run nc -l -n -p 65432 -v -v
    • Add the torrent to your NAS and start it. You'll see something like this in your terminal window:

You can copy the peer_id from there.

I used 127.0.0.1 to conjure the screenshot quickly, but the end result is the same.

Hi there and thanks very much for replay,

I cant understand your process, i must be total dummy, sorry for that, but i think this is not really what i was looking for :(

I download via a private tracker on Transmission 2.84 on a NAS, so the cheat programme is on PC, so i need to know peer_id of NAS's Transmission to copy it on mRatio on PC and apply it to all torrents hooked by mRatio.

Thanks for helping and investigation more for a Dummy .

Happy new year and my best wish for you and SB team.

You can't "copy" your own identification data on mRatio. Furthermore, Transmission uses a different peer_id for each torrent (it's the key value that's the same across all torrents). So currently, there is no 100% safe to use both programs on the same tracker.

Sorry, I missed that this was for mRatio when you started the thread, I'd have told you then otherwise.

    Thanks Anon for replay :)

    So if understand well :

The private tracker that is cheated with mRatio wont detecte my fake seed if i dont use the real Transmission and mRatio in the same time, because ; the Transmission dosnt have fix peer-id and its regerenting (renewing) every time its launced on NAS ?

Is this same with uTorrent and PC ? i mean uTorrent on PC version has a fixe peer_id ?

    Good day

    Short answer: yes.

Is this same with uTorrent and PC ? i mean uTorrent on PC version has a fixe peer_id ?
uTorrent uses the same peer_id and key for all torrents, and the memory reader can be used on it. So running mRatio at the same time is safe as long as you remember to do that last part.
