    Two mobile phone questions

    1. Is there a good custom ROM for the Samsung S-III Mini that can make the battery charge last more than one day?
    2. Is there a way to remove the SIM lock on an LG L3 E400G for free?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi anon! Commenting on n.1: there might be a rom somewhere that is optimized for better battery life, with useless memory resident apps/services stripped off, but in the end I don't know any device in the smartphone world that has battery which lasts more than 24 ou 36 hours, these literally drain energy.

I did some surfing there, and noticed there are many custom ROMs promising better battery life and other optimizations. But I'm not in a position to thoroughly install and test all of them (the phone isn't mine), so if there's a particular one people here can recommend, I'll go with that.

24 hours would be a major improvement. The battery on this one barely lasts half of that.

I'll ask, and try that if the answer was no.

Custom roms generally don't outlast stock. If battery is your most important thing, keep on a stock rom. Try rooting stock and running this to get rid of all the crap.

Turn off stuff like gps and wifi when you don't need them. Prefer wifi over 3g when you can since the radio uses less power. Auto brightness and all those other things help a lot as well. Try a custom launcher since samsung's stuff is crap.
