the plot sounds like a joke (ie. unrealistic), the main character too (Wardaddy!), the director/writer hasn't directed any standout movies (ever), hasn't written any standout material since 2001 (training day), pitt has been dry since 2008 (burn after reading), shi'a l' bluff as a battle-hardened soldier?

in other words, this mission would not be needed, an unnecessary move when the outcome/prognosis was already obvious

I was expecting a 'band of brothers' in the form of a movie which of course could only end in disappointment. And it did.

Way too much focus on the action, little to no focus on the characters and their surrounding stories. Sad :(
Despite being a lengthy movie, you end up with feeling the movie was over before it fully started.
