Verify that your drives are working correctly in 7, and if everything works out OK use only 7.
That 7 button you are talking about will have to start with windows. That's another few CPU cycles and MB of RAM wasted for useless functionality.

A word of wisdom: Install only the drivers that you need. If you don't need USB 3.0 or WebCam, DO NOT INSTALL THEM as they will eat your resources.
This goes for every driver on their site. Even if it says SATA drivers, they are not needed.

Do not install other software from them, like benchmarks, fan control etc.

Yea i didn't installed uncessary thing..
I've used installed intel n nvidia graphic driver,audio,chipset, card reader. That's it.. lan n wireless was working without driver so i skipped it. webcam driver was not needed too

I've been messing with 8 again recently and found a way to use the classic theme (details available upon request), so I was this close to upgrading... sadly the ugly hack that involves breaks anything related to the Logon UI. Guess I'll wait for Windows 9, duh.

it seems like i can't install windows 7 on this one.. Pen drive didn't boot... I tried to run setup in windows. It showed error.. Tried with DVD same problem
i can't even find bios setting on this one

You may need to change the system operation mode from UEFI to Legacy BIOS, depending on how you created the flash drive.

The BIOS can usually be accessed by pressing Del or F2 when the startup logo appears, try hitting either of those keys repeatedly after turning the computer on.

Some newer notebooks have a special key, usually next to the power button, which takes you to the recovery menu when pressed during boot time. In this menu you can select to boot from another device and or enter recovery options.

SO so everyone know i failed to get into bios even with recovery key.. When i made partitions recovery was gone..
So i found a new way to get into BIOS. In windows 8 . Go to Setting - Change PC setings - UPdate and recovery - Recovery - Advance Startup and click restart now

When u restart three options will appear choose troubleshoot - UEFI settings and click restart

Then u will enter in BIOS
i tried to install Windows 7 but error occured
So i gathered some info on downgrading it was related to secure BOOT.. U have to disable secure boot
Althought this option is not present in my laptop
So I changed BOOT MODE to LEGACY SUPPORT
And BOOT PRIORITY TO LEGACY FIRST

and voila now i can install windows 7.. no error came
but thing is if i install it now how will i enter in BIOS again? coz windows 7 doesn't have the update and recovery option..

So i searched and found this Tool called "Lenovo OneKey Recovery 7.0 Engineering" . its what they use in service centres..SO anyone knows about it?
