You want it for Gaming I think anyway I would recommend that you pick the one you like the most and that has the best hardware.

I prefer Lenova over HP any day. Both of them have pretty exquisite and similar configurations nowadays laptops are very powerful.

In my experience I would recommend you to choose the Lenovo over HP. (Both perform well but HP has $hitty overheating issues)
Show respect to all people, but grovel to none

    Thanks

amd is power hungry compared to intel. I'd go with an icore for same performance and longer battery myself

The best advice that anyone can give is: if you want it for gaming, buy a DESKTOP!!
You will never get the same performance from a laptop over a computer, even the hardware is indentical.

    Why this in mind...
Benchmarks say an APU will raise your FPS but only slightly and you'll only see benefit in games only. I highly doubt you will game 24/7 on this thing.

Can you give me a website from which you would like to purchase this laptop? Or sites, I'd like to see their offer and select from there and state your price range as well.

I would never recommend anything from HP too, I have a couple of friends who suffered the same thing with their HP "gaming" notebooks, i.e., overheating has damaged their boards and no one could fix that.
    Thanks

Agree with u both there.. I have a HP too.. Even it has a heating issue n manufacturing defect.. Its good for nothing. Its 64 MB graphic card has major heating issue n i have power supply problems with it too... ITS A SHITBOX.. U don't want to know the things i have to bear.. Like webcam not working,cd rom not working, 1 usb port not working, card reader not working n sometimes wifi n bluetooth stops n i get msg one of the device stopped working n finally lan port has died recently . i've sent it for repair 2 times(power supply problem) .. i have enough of this shitty presario v3000 moronic series.. Funny thing is even nvidia admitted that its graphic card n chipset for this series is buggy n has a manufacting defect but yet no refunds or free repair to customers.. On top of that no drivers for win 8 or 7.. pathetic..
3 days back i was so frustrated that i punched it when wifi stopped so i kinda broke its body badly too. wifi started working though old school method still works

The best in that price range is the Lenovo G500s 59.
I've chose lenovo because they are not so big-branded as HP, Compaq etc. As such their prices are right.
    What you get is:
    • i3, dual-core 3110M
    • 15.6 display with a max. of 1366x768 resolution
    • HDD 1TB with 5400RPM
    • 2GB RAM
    • NVIDIA 720M 1GB
    • 10/100 LAN
    • 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0

The reason it is cheap is because you get:
    • a 4-cell battery (nowadays we use a 6-cell) which reduces the capacity of the battery
    • a 0.3MP webcam, nearly useless; do not use it.
    • a 10/100MB network card (not 1000 which all laptops have nowadays)
    • low ammount of RAM.

Bear in mind that you shouldn't not buy anoher module of RAM and upgrade it. The modules should be the same manufacturer and specs. Thus, you will need to replace your 2GB module with kit of 2 x 4GB. You will need to ask the store if you can upgrade the laptop under waranty.

You probably will not be able to set games to HIGH detail using this configuration. This config is basically "office and technical stuff + some gaming".

The laptop i recommended has 2GB of RAM but you'll buy a separate 2 x 4GB KIT and replace it yourself. It'll cost less than a laptop with 8GB.
    Lenovo Ideapad S510p (59-411351) Laptop (4th Gen Intel Core i3-8GB RAM-1TB HDD-15.6 Inch Screen-Windows 8.1- 2GB Graphics) (Black) | Snapdeal.com
This an generation 4 i7. They cost more but offers no performance benefit over a 3rd generation.
Plus, if you run old games, applications on this 1.7Ghz i7, it'll be like a dual core.

1 more question is 4th gen i3 better than amd a10? whats d bog difference in terms of performance?
Intel CPU's are built specifically for office applications, rendering, editing etc. The AMD A10 is an APU: these contain a CPU and a GPU for faster game processing. You will notice an increase in fps in your games but your office applications will not benefit for any performance boost.

That NVIDIA 720M will beat the AMD 8570. They are both entry-level cards, performance is almost the same but the 720M will be slightly faster.
    Compare yourself:
    AMD Radeon HD 8570M - NotebookCheck.net Tech
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 720M - NotebookCheck.net Tech

Neither did I. A very good friend of mine hepled me understand these things too.

need for speed most wanted 2012
I say stick with my selection. I don't like the 8570 card; it has 64-bits. That is the most crappiest speed possible (this is also the reason you see video cards of 2GB with prices starting from 50$). NVIDIA has 128 if i'm not mistaken.
The game will work, no doubt about it, but you'll have to set the details to medium.

Hey MasterRazor .. Why is it that Amd's official site says 8570M has DDR5 memory where as site "Notebook check says its DDR3.. ?

    ATI Mobility GPU

    AMD Radeon HD 8570M - NotebookCheck.net Tech

In below comparison it also says its DDR5
AMD Radeon HD 8570M compare Nvidia GeForce GT 720M GPU

    M lost...

NVIDIA has 128 if i'm not mistaken.

The notebookcheck site says 64 bit
    Can u check again?
