In all likelihood you also need to mount the registry and clean up BootExecute so that only the first "autocheck autochk *" line remains.

Also, yoco, you basically are the entertainment section so I want to know when Matrix 4 and Síganme will be out. They're among the few works I'm looking forward to

Considering that 1. the disk presumably wasn't making those sounds before, 2. the Load/Unload Cycle Count attribute is over five million, I'd back up the data inside immediately. Remember https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?t=30949?

I don't know how to describe the sound it makes. Imagine if you slightly knock once on your table every two seconds.

Well, then I can only reiterate my advice to back up your data before it's too late.

but keep in mind they get very hot.

But I'm guessing his question is mostly about good old hard drives since it doesnt matter for ssd's. I feel like generally a 2.5inch will not perform as well as a 3.5 inch. (due to obvious size restrictions, not to mention cost)

As usual, "better" depends on your needs, budget and availability. I prefer 2.5" myself since they're smaller and don't require a separate power supply. On the other hand, performance is lower and you won't find disks with very large (> 6 TB) capacities in this form factor.
