Thread: The Chat/Spam Thread

I love Windows 95 but my fondest memories were from Windows XP. I used only SP1 back in the day because SP2 and SP3 were very harsh on resources. A friend of mine gaved me an original MSDN copy of XP Pro SP1. I think I used that cd for hundreds of installs, and I still have it to this day.

SMLoadr is great and has new updates available often!
I love the fact that you can just specify playlists as well and that the tags and album art are set up too.

I dl both, but I used DeezLoader, because when it downloads songs, there's also artist names, not just song names.

I had a SP2 CD I used every time I had to reinstall a computer, which was many times too. Back on '07 I borrowed it several times to a friend who needed it for some computer repair lessons he was taking, and it came back unscathed every time, so it was a joy to give him a hand. Then I borrowed it to a different friend and never saw it again But hey, you live and learn. Or you don't live long.

Service packs two and three being resource hogs is news to me, but then again some people swear WinFLP is faster than regular Windows XP all else being equal, even though it's the same thing with less features and a different installer.

I must be the only person who doesn't care about this... except when I'm uploading music for others, then I try to tag all files neatly and include all cover and disc art available

I usually end up placing the songs on my car's hard drive. If the tags arent set up 100% correctly, it's an absolute horrid mess.
The album art makes for pretty displays too, as the default placeholder is kind of ugly.

I understand. I use one of these in shuffle mode to listen to music, but if you have to deal with those players that force you to browse songs by tag information, correct tagging is the only way.
