Darksaibot Respect for what you did and I agree I find it incredibly silly that they put 1000s of rules sometimes it feels like they just copied the rules from old trackers and though some rules are needed to keep the tracker/warez site alive at times feels like they are on a power trip

In my prime, I held five working What.cd accounts at the same time. I barely downloaded anything, just wanted to cheat and piss the staff off. But then I realized there was no point on doing that (won't say "and was stealing the slot of someone who would have been a good member", because user limits on trackers have long ceased to matter). They were all given away or left to die.

Fixed. We decided that was better, because most discussions within are constructive (yes, even the thread about posting my picture, in its own way!) and worth being added.

Well, rules are necessary to keep a community running smoothly. The unmoderated approach can turn into chaos pretty quickly (I'm on one such place where it works because the people it attracts are level-headed, but it is not representative of the majority).

With that said, the bigger and more long-winded rule pages are, the more likely people will not read them, or even actively disregard them. I have been on forums like that and didn't post much on most, because I was afraid to accidentally break some rule and suffer the corresponding negative consequences. That's the reason why rules here are very short and easy to understand, being mostly common sense, and were last updated in August 2008.

2. turning the lights on and finding a mosquito in the wall

I second that .Here I use a mosquito net way more efficient than mosquito repellents but that buzzing noise is too damn irritating at times

The rules are always necessary but too many defeat the purpose . The rules of SB-I are among the best but with many other forums sadly as is said common sense is the most uncommon thing in the world

more like the hypocrisy trip...but on that suffer more than trackers ,or warez forums,copyright agents holders have this also

i have reached the same level of understanding..since i don't need'it why to bother taking somebody else place..right now i probably managed to cheat them succesfully but i don't need'it

about he forums rulles..is not about the rulles more then is on stupid things..like ..you forgotten prints or put stupid things in the post...or considering spam posting something in your megathread and also on a thread already started by somebody else but they have dead links..common sense rulles in common sense..exaggerating is more an ego thing then a rulles thing

I just checked this, and for some reason the double post threshold was set to 3 hours, when I had changed it to 12 some years ago. Don't know if it that was intentional or a bug, but the original setting is back now. Thanks for the report.
