Yea I know. Sometimes I wonder in which favor court ruled!
I remember your ceiling leak and had one myself halfway through 2023, so indeed we know each other's pain well.
If costs weren't covered, I'd have to rob a bank Flooring alone is around $400; didn't want to look up the rest but numbers basically go up like a pinball score.

anon, I need your expertise. I have usb 3.0 and usb 3.1 ports on front side. USB 3.0 works fine, but 3.1 doesn't. No matter what device I plugin to 3.1 port, it doesn't do anything. Any advice what I can do? My MB is X570 GAMING X (rev. 1.1).

I would start by checking for damage on the port itself and ensuring it's well plugged and wired inside the case, frontal ports aren't known for being sturdy...

Pinout in the manual says it's two ports per header, so that's fine. Here are some potential solutions in ascending order of difficulty.
- Disable power management by opening every host controller and root hub in the first image, selecting the Power Management tab and unchecking "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". You'll also have to run these as administrator.
(More layers of power management exist, but for now we'll stop here.)Code:powercfg /setacvalueindex SCHEME_CURRENT 2a737441-1930-4402-8d77-b2bebba308a3 48e6b7a6-50f5-4782-a5d4-53bb8f07e226 0 powercfg /setacvalueindex SCHEME_CURRENT 2a737441-1930-4402-8d77-b2bebba308a3 d4e98f31-5ffe-4ce1-be31-1b38b384c009 0- Download the USB 3.1 drivers from Gigabyte and install them; compared to Windows preinstalled drivers, OEM ones are usually newer and have hardware-specific customization that makes them preferable (notable exception: HD Audio).
- Power off, open the case and change the front panel to F_USB30_2.

Which drivers should I download from MB website? AMD Chipset drivers? There's no USB drivers specific!
Chipset includes them, although after running the installer you may have to do the actual install by hand. Do try the first point before that.

Tried all your suggestions, neither worked!
Well, you can try booting to some live Linux OS to be completely sure, but the most likely explanation is that the port and/or its wiring are damaged. USB-C ports are tiny and not too hard to break.
