anon, I need your expertise. I have usb 3.0 and usb 3.1 ports on front side. USB 3.0 works fine, but 3.1 doesn't. No matter what device I plugin to 3.1 port, it doesn't do anything. Any advice what I can do? My MB is X570 GAMING X (rev. 1.1).

So, apparently the pipes in my bathroom broke, with visible damage on the adjacent walls and flooring as well as near-complete destruction of ceiling downstairs. The good news is the building's management will cover the repairs this time, the bad news is they'll take four days in a row...

Water just fucks up everything when it gets where it shouldn't be.

Can relate. We faced similar problems multiple times. Even last year the a pipe broke inside wall. We have brick walls here.. It was so hard to find the source. The moisture sept through all the walls. Weakens the structure too. Only find out when pipe burst and it popped all the paint and cement. Old design were shit. Now we're paying the price.

Amount is greater than what I'd like. The stuff you saw was donated or recycled shortly after snapping because its low value didn't justify the time and effort required to sell it. Besides, less is more!

One thing I noticed is that all of the metal plumbing they touched was replaced with PVC after a long blowtorching session that left the house smelling like a furnace. Not sure if that's better or more durable, but I'm guessing it's definitely cheaper.

If you're particularly unlucky, black mold will start showing up at some point...
