It would be interesting to get Wireshark captures of both mRatio and uTorrent trying to announce to that tracker, and then look for differences.

For HTTPS trackers, both programs use the Schannel API, so in theory they should look exactly the same.

I think they fixed it. Now i'm able to connect to the tracker without any problems.

OurBits has now disabled the compulsory HTTPS TLS V1.2/V1.3 access. We are re-supporting simultaneous HTTP/HTTPS access.

Your post prompted me to have a closer look and discover my previous assumption about Schannel was somewhat incorrect. mRatio does use it, but for some reason (perhaps its reliance on version 2.0 of the .NET Framework), it can only do TLS 1.0 with a relatively limited set of cipher suites. A hello message from running it under Windows 7 x64 looked like this:

    Code:
    Secure Sockets Layer
TLSv1 Record Layer: Handshake Protocol: Client Hello
            Content Type: Handshake (22)
            Version: TLS 1.0 (0x0301)
            Length: 114
            Handshake Protocol: Client Hello
                Handshake Type: Client Hello (1)
                Length: 110
                Version: TLS 1.0 (0x0301)

                    Cipher Suite: TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA (0x0035)

                    Cipher Suite: TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA (0xc00a)
                    Cipher Suite: TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA (0xc009)
                    Cipher Suite: TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA (0x0038)
                    Cipher Suite: TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA (0x0032)
                    Cipher Suite: TLS_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA (0x000a)
                    Cipher Suite: TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA (0x0013)
                Compression Methods Length: 1
                Compression Methods (1 method)
                Extensions Length: 49
                Extension: server_name (len=20)
                Extension: supported_groups (len=6)
                Extension: ec_point_formats (len=2)
                Extension: extended_master_secret (len=0)
                Extension: renegotiation_info (len=1)
So, if a tracker doesn't support TLS 1.0 and/or any of the suites listed above, mRatio isn't going to work there (and is in theory detectable, but TLS fingerprinting is not very well developed yet, and I don't expect trackers to be doing it at the moment). Forcing Schannel to use TLS 1.2 only via registry settings doesn't work.

Is it possible to add the same torrent file, but with different peer id anyhow?

and yeah, since i can't keep track on proxy in MR, is it possible to use different proxy for every single torrent file you add?

No, but you can stop the torrent, change to another emulation and then switch back to your previous one to generate a new peer_id.

Yes, you can set an individual proxy when you add the torrent but it's impossible to change it afterwards. The only solutions are removing and readding the torrent with different proxy settings, or closing mRatio and editing the corresponding .mRSave file.

mRatio seems to be revealing my IP, even when using private or socks proxy, for some reason it doesn't even try to connect to proxy

I can confirm this, at least for HTTP proxies. Regardless of whether set globally, individually, the torrent is readded and/or mRatio is restarted between changes, the proxy is never used.

    After having a closer look...
    • SOCKS proxies seem unaffected, but due to another bug, if a SOCKS proxy is set mRatio always uses 80 as a destination port on HTTP announce URLs and 699 on HTTPS ones, effectively breaking trackers that use HTTPS and/or custom ports;
    • when an HTTP proxy is set, mRatio even sends the request as if it were talking to it (GET http://tracker.example.com/...), but it connects to the real destination directly instead.

Grab and install the AES 256 update for Windows XP from Attachment 18443 and it may work again (update: see https://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?t=33804).

    Anon,

When i rename the existing copies of dll files and paste the new dll file in %windir%\system32, then first it paste successfully, but when i restart my pc to delete the rename files, then the rename files and new dll files are showing the same size and same version of original dll. I guess its not changing, so its not working.

How to change the dll files to AES 256 dll files

    waiting for your reply
