I heard from a friend that it sucked, mainly because the timeline is totally screwed up. He likes to bitch about little things though, so it might not be as bad as he claims. I've not set a date yet, but I will definitely go see it myself as well.

your friend is not wrong though.. It sucks.. M disappointed.. Plot was good n still they fcuked it up real badly..Actually they deviated from the cartoon series story.they altered it n hence ruined it. First half was good and it is interesting n build up a good suspense n interest.. Other half was meehh.. However it was mostly drama.. Almost no fight in the movie.. A happy ending though.. But not worth going to cinema .Don't watch it in 3D dude...

Opinions seem to be really two sided on this movie. The true fanboys are really disappointed, but the casual lovers seem to love it. If you don't know too much of the existing story, it most likely won't bother you! So feel free to just go see it if you want

Same thing seems to happen over and over again with the Resident Evil movies. I don't know any Resident Evil gamer fan who liked any of the previous released movies, but know a lot of people who enjoyed it as a casual action/horror flick.

I finally watched it. I liked it but I don't know why people loved it so much. I didn't find it that good!
Forgot to come back to the thread, but I watched it last week.
It was entertaining, but by far not as good as I was expecting it to be. I think the x-men have kind of had it when it comes to movies. Time to move on... :/
Don't get me wrong though, I'm still happy I watched it. But chances are rather slim I'll be watching it again. That being said, though, it's waaaay better than the origins movies, at least!
