TP-Link TD-W8961ND is not working

I have this TP-LINK 300 Mbps wireless N ADSL2+Modem ROuter (TD-W8961ND)

I bought this 4 months ago.. now its not working... Few weeks backs its wi fi stopped working... Whenever i swicthed on the wi fi .. modem used to restart again n again... like a loop.. all the buttons like wifi,wps will stopped working... so i stopped using wifi.. it was tough to switch off wifi.. after many hours of struggling i switched off using button... so i used lan so far.. but now its completely gone..
Its restarting again n again.. no switch is working... its not even connected to computer,, in network setting all is see is "identifying " and then it restarts...reset button is not working.. is it firmware issue?
how can i fix this?

No doubt about it.

You need to do a downgrade. The procedure is the same for upgrading/downgrading.
Either that or find a newer firmware.

i have the new firmware but i can't get into 192.168.1.1 coz in network setting all is c is identifying.. before it could connect it restarts

OK, let us do what we call a 30-30-30 reset:

Before doing this operation, unplug all of your ethernet cables from the router.

1. Hold down the reset button for 30 seconds (at least, no harm if goes beyond).
2. With the button pressed, unplug the router from the power socket and hold for another 30 seconds.
3. Plug the router in the power socket and keep pressing for another 30 seconds.

The finally let go of the reset button and see if anything is changed.
After this, the router should have its original address (192.168.0.1, I think it is).

If all of this is not working, you'll have no other choice than to take it in warranty OR find a GUY that can perform a reset operation directly on the PCB.

ohhh i almost forgot... i tried everything u said above... but all failed.. luckily its in warranty... just few days before i emailed the tp-link staff.. they said they will replace it.. i'll go hopefully next weeek now :)

Glad you managed to take in warranty. You know you have a fine router there. You could change the factory firmware with DD-WRT.

TP-Link routers have 3 years warranty and they aren't repaired, they are replaced. My 2 yr old router stopped working but they gave me a brand new one the next day.

Hey Master Razor, another question for u... I replaced the modem some time ago

Replaced one was also giving me hard time.. Whenever i turn on wireless my laptop won;t pick its signal neither my mobile. I have to restart it multiple times then laptop n mobile would pick its signal

Now that i have new laptop.. Its picks its signal everytime while my old laptop n mobile doesn't.. What does it mean? does it mean that my old laptop isn't able to handle the WPA complexity?

There is no such thing. If it didn't support wireless it shouldn't of picked up the signal.

Does this thing occur only on your router or everywhere you try to connect?

it occurs only on my router,,
i wonder how come my new laptop picks it up everytimr while my mobile n old laptop fails.. whenever old laptop picks it up mobile picks it up too

in wireless encoding set to wpa
ssid n password set.
region set to india and channel set to auto
