My friend was in no ALT before and they invited him. Did they ask you much? I'm planning to do the interview...
They asked transcoding and bitrate stuff. And some rules. All questions were from What.CD: A Beginner's Guide
This was my first interview and I passed from first time.
Questions seemed easy to me, but my profession are computers and information technologies and I understand transcoding, bitrates, frequencies and spectral views from before, so that could just seem easy to me. Many computer related stuff seems easy to me that is not to others...
I think most people fails on spectral views, you should just watch vertical axis and where the frequency was cut. Lossless compression (WAV (PCM), FLAC, ALAC) does not cut frequencies, and lossy (MP3, OGG, AAC) does.

You don't need to be an IT engineer to answer the audio-related questions. Their help site is set up so that the average Joe willing to put some effort and use Google if they still have questions, may pass that part.

i remembered one night that i got WHAT.CD
but in the morning i got banned.
site was strong and i loved the genres.
i guess site has good protection against VUZE SBI modes.
and also nobody wants to giveaway any of invite.

that's good for me.
i just don't know that reason on tracker banning issue in that time.
