Watched the first season. It was really good. Probably gonna watch the second one as well. Although I don't know why so little number of episodes?

Well every episode has like 90 minutes so they're basically like mini movies.

Shows from the UK are usually limited to 6 episodes per season to ensure the level of quality that they deem necessary(which they believe is lost over a number of episodes). You'll find most of the series from the UK are pretty short when compared to the shows from the US.

i've seen the second season and it was excellent. a much higher level than the average tv show.

. But I was referring to regular half hour episodes and since this one is around an hour and 30 mins, the same theory applies

I have still to get around to watch the second season but yes I believe that it has high standards similar to the first one.

really liked it. haven't watched the second season yet, but this has rave reviews on imdb. I am eager to see how the feud between Sherlock and Moriarty pans out..
