Is there a way around revoked download privileges ?

Hi everyone,

i don't know wheather this topic has already been discused here, but i did not find any information about it.

On a private tracker, my download privileges have recently been revoked (don't ask me why). I was wise enough to download on my computer all the torrents of the files i want to download. So, i would like to know wheather there is a way to bypass this download limitation, and still download those files. As you guys have so many cheating tricks, i thought you would maybe have one for my case.

Use the "show as seeder" option in your favorite mod. Vuze and Serenity both support this. It'll only work on torrents with enough leechers, and is ill-advised to do on non-scene/exclusive torrents.

Alternatively, you can do what they expect you to do... seed the stuff you've leeched, you know...

What a wonderful reason for cheating! I am sure you feel at home on this forum.

But maybe, just maybe, you should seed a little bit if you really like the stuff you downloaded.

We have had a few people that use private torrents as a download-only system and cheat because of the obvious ratio implications. I don't like that behavior myself, but it's their choice.

Sorry dude, but i must say i'm a bit confused about your point of view in this case. Why being so active in such a forum if you mind the fact of cheating and leaching ? Or maybe i got you wrong somewhere. Did i ?

Cheating I no longer do, although I did in the past. And I remain active here because I know a thing or two about it that can help others.

Leeching without ever uploading everything I never did, even when I cheated. I'm not singling you out about it, though...

Same here, I no longer cheat, I use public trackers and DDLs (and that's getting less and less when the time passes),
but I visit this forum because of the friends I made, also SB-I is a good place to sharpen some of your skills:
English/programming/general communication methods with others (since this is somewhat an 'educated' forum).

I've learned a ton of stuff about computing and networking here, and to date, I still do. I have also seen coding achievements that were thought to be impossible getting done, and extended upon.
