    Jackie Chan is cool
he was cool, nowadays his roles & movies are merely embarrassing (something common among the majority of famous actors past their prime)

i prefer his early/funny kung-fu movies (police themed ones excluded)
    - his best movie would probably be: Drunken Master (1978)
    - his least worst movie from the hollywood era might be: Shanghai Noon (2000)

as for this movie, let me guess, yet another laughable attempt at serious historical/political propaganda with larger-than-life characters & grand heroic (ad)ventures on one (right) side, with corrupt/incompetent/tyrannical/wrong ones on the other, packaged with the approval of the current government (in this case: chinese) - btw. hollywood does the same, though they have more than one...few interest(s) to satisfy in the process

what they forget is the following:

if (all) the past events weren't happening (exactly) how they did, there would be no current events as they presently are, meaning that without the chinese monarchy (and whatever it did) & co. there wouldn't be a revolution, without the revolution (and whatever it did) & co. there wouldn't be the current communist regime, ie. the communists should be thankful to the monarchy they despise as well (not to mention the tiny butterflies around the world)!

Opps. I guess I did use the wrong tense there. I agree with you 100% slikrapid that JC WAS cool and he's lost his touch. He was one of my favorites when I was growing up.
his best movie would probably be: Drunken Master (1978)
    Amen.
However, I prefer to see him in Hollywood projects simply because I refrain from watching films in languages other than English.

I agree, seeing him in a non-english language movie, with all respect to the Chinese speakers, takes me away from my concentration in the movie because I can't identify with it
