    FilePost Back Online

FilePost Is back online signup is closed now , databases are lost so w00t

    Welcome Back
FilePost went down ~6 months ago because the previous admin disappeared. This resulted in the server bills not being paid. Unfortunately the admin was the only one that had backups and the ability to retrieve the server. The old userbase is lost. We can't reach the admin. He might be dead or giving us the silent treatment.

We do however have an upgraded source and we're currently in beta testing.

If you were a previous member, we are sorry for your loss. We tried really hard to get in touch with the admin, with no success. He does not want to be found.

The best way to get back in would be through an invite (after beta is over), as we can't just open the doors to everyone who might claim they were a member earlier(how would we know your claim is real?).

Hopefully you will be able to find your way back home.

    Where's the link??

EDIT: Never mind. I found it for you instead.

It's listed there on the front page, I see.

Tracker starting from scratch with a fresh userbase + no open signups = you're dead.

Filemp3 was good....until it died that is.
I remember that filemp3 was one of my first music trackers and I managed to hold on to that account for years.

The problem that I found with filemp3 was that it was always the same uploaders. There was a tonne of scene music that I would have uploaded but I was denied. I think perhaps this negating others the privilege to upload may have played one of many small parts in that site's eventual downfall.

Now with filepost having supposedly next to no new users to come on board, it might be a very, very slow growth if not perhaps to die within a year or so. But then again, my guess might be wrong. Who knows??

@ yoco: Maybe what they might do is offer invites via PU forums. That would be my guess. On the off chance, and the way it's looking now is that since everyone is gathering hyper-interest in this place, invites might be offered on IRC via FSF or some other torrenting blog. My guess is that if avenues like that are ever finalized the site won't be as exciting as everyone thinks/believes it might be. It will be just another site that offers stuff that other sites offer as well.

But that's just my guess on this all.
