Unsolicited emails from TheSwarm.me

I recently got an unsolicited email from TheSwarm.me. I was wondering if anyone else received such unsolicited email. I read on FSF

TheSwarm - New Gazelle Movie Tracker Creating a Buzz | THE source for BitTorrent & P2P Tips, Tricks and Info. | FileShareFreak

that it might be a creation of "Pham" formerly from PTP. I can't recall if the email I ever used on that site is the same email that was sent to me earlier.

I'm wondering if it's a desperation of some kind to recruit and retain users to the new site. I can't see much different TheSwarm is in comparison to TC or even PTP.

So, again, I'm just curious to find out if others received an unsolicited email as I did.

I use one e-mail address for each tracker and am not going to check them all...

Any ideas as how they may have got yours?

I have no clue to be honest. I lost my PTP account (no big deal) after mistakenly giving away my former bitmetv.org account -- tracker connections --(should have just let the account die instead). I think that I may have used one of my email accounts for PTP and I think that just prior to "Pham" (It may have been him since he's listed in the comment reports at the link given above) and when he took off with other people's donations, he may have also copied the emails from PTP site member-list and subsequently solicited me (albeit unsolicited) and probably other members ( past and current) an invitation via email to the new site.
