    vuze - firewalled problem

    hi all,

i hope that i am asking my question on the right forum.

    my problem is:
i downloaded vuse version 4.6.0.0 from this site.
when i start to download some files i dont get my max speed.
i checked the same file that i downloaded with vuse, on uttorent and its worked fine - i got max d.l. speed
on vuse, i always got red dot on the firewalled on the status bar at the button.

i dont have any firewall on the pc.
i opened the port on my router for vuse.
i tried to change the port to higher port (range: 49000 and 52000)
i tried to use different ports for udp and tcp

nothing help...i still got red dot on the firewalled

i installed "clean" vuse on other pc that i have at my home and its worked fine(no firewalled and the torrent icons are green and not yellow)

this "firewalled" problem cause me several problem:
    1. low download speed
    2. after i finished to download, vuse does not upload at all (fake or real)

i tried to read on goolge, and i did what ever i find there, but still no luck.

    anyone know whats the problem?
    any idea?

    thanks in advance.

    1. it's Vuze, not "Vuse",
    2. did you try downloading a very active public torrent (for example, a Linux ISO) to check if the issue happens there as well?

Are you sure your ISP don't block Vuze or any other p2p software ?

open vuze and go to tools tab>NAT/firewall test
hit the test button and see what message comes

if the test fails... yes u have some firewall(can be windows native firewall)
if that's the case just go to windows firewall option and add vuze there

also check the UpnP in vuze options

i dont know if my ISP block vuze , but i am sure that my ISP doesnt block utorrent
i click on NAT/firewall test and i dont have problem.
i also checked the UpnP - and it seems ok.

the problem of the firewalled solved when i checked: tools --> option --> connection -->peer sources --> incoming connection

    10x for your help :)

If uTorrent is alloweb also Vuze is allowed, so is only a configuration problem (Vuze, Firewall or Router).

Why would that be unticked in the first place? That's not the default setting.

yeah i think the same... before change anything is better to REALLY KNOW what u messing or u will end up with problems and nobody can help because who will imagine what you tweak in specific setting
