    could anybody post the best advanced settings for utorrent would they improve the download speed?

    The only thing what you can do in the advanced settings for a better downloadspeed is change the "net max half open" to 55 or more. But you must patch your windows connection limit too. You can use xp-anti-spy or such a tool to handle this.

    I found the settings that the Speed Guide chooses work a treat, maxes my 1536 connection.

    sorry mate i ve read them now .
    my utorrent its using lots of cpu since i chage the settings but its faster now and sometimes it makes my connection fall have u got any idea why?

    connection fall could come from to many connections se in utorrent.your router could have problems handle all the connections. just set the global max connection in your utorrent to 100 and look if the connection is stable if yes just raise slowly the max connection value

    what do you mean with lots of cpu? how many %

    my cp is a celeron not very powerfull utorrent uses 50% of cpu that makes it freeze all the time but it doesnt happen with utorrent 1.6
