Microsoft announced that it would be including support for system-on-a-chip (SoC) including ARM-based systems from partners NVIDIA Corp., Qualcomm Inc. and Texas Instruments Inc.
Windows 8 is expected to RTM in 2012 with the latest rumor suggesting an early January 2013 retail availability.

Hehe, it's still a long way to go. This Windows 8 is probably on alpha ultra-prototype stage right now, and that'd be assuming the images that got leaked aren't fake, which happens a lot with this sort of stuff.

Milestone 3 was just compiled I think. That's the new aero lite theme your seeing.It's already been ported to windows 7.

wasn't windows 8 scheduled for 2012 (brought forward from 2014)?

i thought ms' new roadmap detailed windows releases every 2 years, beginning with windows 7...?

what do you guys expect to see in the new windows 8?

i relly hope to see something ground braking, not only visualisation or soem performance tweaking. smething that makes me say WOOW :)

Remove the registry "feature",change the filesystem,kill Bill Gates. (not that he really has anything to do with the development that's currently going on there )

If anyone needs real performance then go and use Linux and play super mario or what's the best game they have
