They say IE9 is like Chrome with ActiveX.
It must be really fast then..
I'm still downloading the installer. :)

    Download Internet Explorer 9 (32-bit and 64-bit IE9)

    Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 (x86 English Full Installer): IE9-Windows7-x86-enu.exe
    Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64 English Full Installer): IE9-Windows7-x64-enu.exe

Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 (x86 English Full Installer): IE9-WindowsVista-x86-enu.exe
Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 (x64 English Full Installer): IE9-WindowsVista-x64-enu.exe

No XP support. OK, maybe it's time we stop using a 10 year old operating system...

I've heard mostly good things about IE9. Apparently Microsoft tried to do things right this time.

    lmao.Works on brazzers.
No really I don't see the need to switch. In a month or two IE will be outperformed by other browsers that get continuous updates, not once a year.

They say IE9 is like Chrome with ActiveX.
I guess they copied a lot from Chrome.

Dinosaurs are pretty much "new", IE is much much older than that,
you can safely call IE a single-celled prokaryote.

On topic: screw IE9, it sucks, on my slow laptop, When I open a new tab I have to wait 5-10 seconds until IE starts responding again, scrolling is bad, just like the old IE days, It takes me a lot of effort to correctly highlight a sentence, as ParamouR, no built-in spell check (Is that a FU non-English natives?), MEMORY USAGE IS HIGH!!, end of rant.

It seems fast, though you can also feel it's lagging a bit when you load the page.
I think it attempts to get all the data first before displaying the data,
    unlike FF's incremental page update.

Internet Explorer 9 has now been downloaded 2.35 million times in the first 24 hours since its Monday night release. That is over 27 downloads every second, or over 240 downloads every 9 seconds. Wow.

Official statement from the Microsoft Blog

2.3 Million Downloads of IE9 in the first 24 hours

(*The current record holder is Mozilla, which had over 8 million downloads in a 24-hour period.)
