7 Billion: Are You Typical?
-
a rather silly choice of words, 'typical' doesn't really fit here - what does it mean to be the most typical person anyways? it could be that such a person fits into most types taken into consideration or that such a person has characteristics that almost perfectly fit some type taken into consideration
what this video does is to arbitrarily apply the term 'typical' to the most numerous representatives of selectively chosen types taken into consideration, attempting to generalize it to the world/global scale, however their claims will fail as soon as some type is chosen which doesn't fit into the (expected) calculation, fi. if they used 'religious orientation' as a type taken into consideration, it would obviously be a close race between christians and muslims and the 'winner' down the line would depend on additional types chosen to be observed/considered and their priority
notice that they tried to distance themselves from the claims by briefly/vaguely admitting how the claims are only relatively applicable, however not because of their methodology (the selective choice of types, the actual reason for its relativity) but because the 'runner-up' was expected to overtake the current 'winner' in the future
so are you typical?
yes and no (to a certain extent) at the same time, depending fi. on the types being observed
any other hidden contents in the video?
how about: globalization, suppression of individuality, typification, statistical manipulation
