    Stupid mausic file extension !

    Hi @all guys.
    I've a stupid problem... I hate big file extension... and every time I create a new txt file I must see at the end TXT! And I don't would rename it every time.

    Someone know how to resolve the problem!

    No... I see the extensions. But they should be .txt not .TXT. TXT Is fastidius... only for that... is possible to apply .txt ? It always worked and now no! Grrrrrrrr

    you need to provide more information. "how do you create those files?" would be a good start for example

    Sure thing, buddy.

    If you're creating them via right-click -> New -> Text Document, then read the following.
    1. Go to Start -> Run.
    2. Type regedit and press ENTER.
    3. On the window that appears, click on the + to the left of HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, and locate the key called ".TXT" without the quotes.
    4. Change its name to ".blablabla" and then to ".txt", always without the quotes.
    5. Close the registry editor and reboot your PC, or alternatively kill all instances of explorer.exe.


    Done.

    Right click --> New --> txt document... for example. The other extension seems to work all ok (avi... mp3...)

    also possible: create the file using a text editor of your choice. you're gonna open it up anyway i güss

    a new file created with PSPad dös also have uppercase extensions?
