In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps.
the superhero universe is sure getting crowded out there with all of them populating supposedly the only 2 camps available: the good (bright, white, shining, light, sun, day, peace, liberty, life) & the bad (dark, black, shadowy, darkness, night, war, slavery, destruction), what they failed to mention is that both camps use the same (or similar enough) methods of achieving their goals, the difference being only the color they paint themselves with or the flag they align themselves with or the characteristics/traits they choose for themselves to adhere to or the justification/propaganda they spew onto their believers in ample amounts, what they also want is for you to choose/pick sides, be with them or against them, your conformed individuality is needed to serve their goals, to translate your choices from the virtual to the real...and to follow, as a good servant does, to follow fi. the green lantern means you will see everything in a green-ish perspective, you will not see clearly, other colors will be distorted and finally you will not see that which is not illuminated by the lantern...and thats ok they will say, for your feeble mind should not bother to contemplate such things, there is a purpose for you which will be given to you by the lantern bearers, to be grateful & obedient to them is all they ask, for what is a little liberty given up for security, eh?

as for the movie itself, could be too early to predict, though comics-->movie conversions are generally not that successful, furthermore can't remember any recent superhero movie worth mentioning either so...

I'll definitely watch this movie! I don't know much about it, but I did watch a cartoon a while back and it was pretty good. Plus I really like Reynolds as an actor, not to mention Blake Lively

I'm not into comics myself but I heard this is quite popular - will be interesting to see what the movie comes out like.

Just watched extended version. It was ok, there was too much drama and way less action. That's what I missed most!

even if there was more action, it would still suck royally since the available action parts were done very poorly (the scene involving the legendary lantern warrior, the chopper rescue scene, the training scene, the end-battle,...), not to mention illogically

Blake Lively...who acts poorly...hired only to look cutely...draining the lantern guy extremely...hehe
