Yes, it must be done before starting the torrent.

My guess is that making RM and mR follow redirects would fix this... don't hold your breath as far as RatioMaster is concerned, though

The problem isn't/wasn't with redirection, is/was it ?
RatioMaster already supports URL redirection, I checked that.

CHDBits used redirections and that broke RM, as far as I've seen.

Maybe CHBits' redirection script is "awful"/"badly written" or deliberately made in a way which breaks RM, anyway, just wanted to comment because RM once redirected for me (checked the log), I also checked that to confirm more.

Ahem, here is a direct link to the source code of Ratioblaster. http://ratiomaster2.googlecode.com/f....release.1.rar. It is based on a dump of ratiomaster.
Ratiomaster (the coder) is still a sulking like a little girl over the shafting the coder of NRPG RatioMaster gave him. He basically handed the little Bulgarian bitchboy NRGP the source. Instead of helping to improve it he went off and started his own forum and did a little recoding. I think he integrated the .client files into the program so that he could call them "updates" and look like a boss. I bet he even poached those .client files off the Moofdev forum.
Because of this bulls*it the source of RM will never see light of day again. That is Ratiomasters choice, which I respect, but it would be nice if he would hand the source over to a responsible coder that could build on its strengths. Anyone want me to pm him and ask if he will release the code? It is worth it for the laugh factor alone.

Ratiomaster itself hasn't changed much since 2008. Here are the changelogs for the two updates after 1.8.9

Bug fix : fixed handling of HTTP redirect responses on some trackers

Update : compiled with VS 2010 and tested on Win7 64bit

I doubt any of these updates were made anyway.
Still, If it would make any difference I could approach RM via PM and ask him if he will release the source. I think he might do so under very specific conditions. I know that one of them would be that any program created from the source would have to stay on the moofdev forums. I mean he gave phiscker and I the chance to create Ratioblaster...

I am sure we based RB on 1.8.9...

I found this in the RB section of Moofdev. To quote Ratiomaster:

Well, there's The248's mRatio. Development is active and his tool has a lot of cool stuff, he undeniably did a fantastic work on it.

However, if I went back to cheating again I'd probably use RM, not because mR is bad but simply because it's the program I'm used to. I'm guessing other people feel the same way.
