uSerenity settings with description

Hey guys new here and have been reading the forum for a few hours now and trying to get my head around uSerenity which I think I have. Im trying to just fake my upload on TL. So far I have:

Be Seeder: Checked
Be Leecher: Unchecked
No report download: Checked
No report upload: Unchecked
No report corrupt: Checked
Don't announce completed event: Checked

Upload Multiplier: Checked
Between 1.1 and 1.2 X

With this I still want to download torrents but do I have to leave the torrent seeding after the download for it to fake my upload on TL.

I am afraid if this is what has been implemented, you would end up with a rather constant figure on each announce - the mean of the range.

I guess that'd depend on the reliability of the RNG.

No, it should be a basic math problem. I would be surprised if anyone could really generate random uploads as expected using the current version. Also, I was testing other things today, but as a side observation, I can confirm the upload would always be (very) close to the middle value of the range.

So with full respect, I would like to report this as a bug to Owyn. :)

Ive tried posting on the TL thread but no luck. The main thing I want to know is do I need to leave the torrent that I've downloaded seeding or can I stop it and uSerenity will do the rest.

If you've found a bug with rand() you should probably report it to Microsoft... I can do nothing about it except using other third-party heavy algorithms for Random.

To me the correct method is to generate one random number only for each announce (not one every second)

It'd give more disadvantages than anything usefull plus if as you say random gets 'close to the middle' eventually so it would get there eventually for your total reported stat then after few low high or middle for each random announce.

In most cases, yes. You can stop it once you read your desired ratio. It appears you've merely given your real upload a slight 10-20% increase, so there shouldn't be any trouble there. Just don't use "show as seeder" on pack torrents and you'll be fine.

@Owyn, you don't have to be so defensive, mate. It is a basic mathematical principle.

I bet you have not fully tested it yourself. Why not run it on a torrent for a day and see the results? Actually if you (or anyone else) can show me a real random outcome as expected, I will not say another word at all on this forum. :(

You could use debug dll and then just read logfile to see each and every 'random' number it generated for faking.

There is nothing wrong with rand(). The problem is you generate thousands of random numbers in the announce interval and sum them up. This would have little random effect at all.

i have 2 packs down in hdd and runing in utorrent now i want to increase ratio to dose torrents the trackers ar cinm..ik & t..t Leechers they are,could i stop the utorrent and run uS on that torrents macke a biger ratio and then come back normaly to seed
