Try booting the PC in safe mode.It will automatically disable most of the apps & loads the OS with a basic set of utillity. If it crashes again, then it might be a hardware related problem. Try with the safe mode once & let us know.

So after almost a week without a crash, yesterday it happened again, and again today. I was browsing and searching for a solution. I came upon this. You type sfc /scannow in "run" and then it shows you if you need to repair some windows files. At least that's how I get it. But the second it starts it wants windows CD with SP3. Now I have a bunch of windows but not on CDs, I have them on DVDs. And neither version works, it just keeps saying it requires a Windows CD with SP3. Any idea how to make this work?
how about you just try reinstall windows so we clear this software thing,i hope you have windows on separate partition...if not reinstall and make 3 partitions, windows and apps, games, documents and movies...
That seems to be the easiest way, but I don't want to install windows again!
Use windows xp UE, it is almost unattended, it is already "tweaked" and has a very useful software pack.
What kind of windows are that? I've never heard of it before!
Windows uE - Google Search
Basically, it's a tweaked and pimped Windows with many programs pre-installed. Many Internet cafes here use it.

Seriously, seems as there's no english version, I could only find spanish :o
I didn't consider that.
But there are many similar releases in multiple languages, if you want to go that way.

I had this problem frequently about a tear ago, software probably isn't the key, it's more certainly a hardware issue, what you have is a problem of processor overheating, probably due to either the fan not working or the box that contains it is very dirty and dusty, just clean it.
I also believe that this can be caused by processor overheating, maybe you should reapply thermal paste, clean your components and case, a large amount of dust can cause them to malfunction.
1st) Install a good antivirus like Nod32,Norton Antivirus 2010 , update it then full scan your whole computer.
2nd) if you are useing dasktop computer just you open or remove your CPU Side cover and Clean Rems pins and attach. then you check

My 0.2 cents,
I've faced similar problems like yours and I had to get a ram tester. I ran the tests and it turned out my ram was faulty. Everything went back to normal asa I changed it.
You should give it a try, or at least try changing ram slots around.
